Having worked in ophthalmology as a technician for over 30+ years, I have seen some really GREAT physicians and surgeons as well as some really BAD! I can honestly say that I would not choose to work anywhere else or receive my or my family’s eye care anywhere other than here at Richens Eye Center. Some people get aggravated when they have to wait at times, but once they have met our physicians and surgeons, they realize two things. First, they are worth the wait and second that each doctor will take the extra time with them if and when necessary, as they did with the patients that they were caring for ahead of them. We strive to provide the very best care with the most compassionate atmosphere. In medical eye care, you NEVER know what will walk through the door ahead of or during a scheduled appointment. Dr. Richens and her staff will ALWAYS care for an emergency as if they are family, too. I am SO proud to be part of THE BEST medical team in ophthalmology and on December 17th, I will celebrate my 7th anniversary with Dr. Sharon Richens & Richens Eye Center!! You can’t beat the OD, or physicians in this practice. Dr Richens is an excellent physician and takes time with patients’ to let questions be asked an answered. She is an excellent surgeon for cataracts! The only negative thing I can say is that waiting can be long, sometimes over an hour. However, it’s worth the wait to get the fantastic care.

Dr richen is smart, funny but very personable with each visit.. she is always helping me to have better health to live an engaging life.
Dr. Richens has been my eye doctor since I was a little girl, her staff and colleagues are so nice and professional. She cares so much about you not just as a her patient but as a person. Highly recommended to anyone who needs an eye doctor!
