Cost of Lasik isn't bad. $2,395 per eye. The costs I didn't intend paying was my perscriptions which cost around $65.00. They also require you to pay $350 down payment when you go in for a "deeper exam" however, this goes towards your $2,395 per eye and the rest of the cost ($ 4,440) is due a week before your surgery. This was nerve racking to me becuase, well, what if somthing happens? Or worse I die? But I found out if you put somone on your Hippa Release forms than they can get your money back if you say, die before your surgery date, or if somthing happens to you and you can't make it to the surgery. The other nerve racking thing is they don't give you a surgery time until the day before your surgery. This about killed me since I'm a planner and I like having things planned out. All in all. I love Sharon Richens!! she is so kind! I absolutely adore her and she was with me in the operating room walking me through my surgery. Her team explained to me about the laser machines and what to expect. I did have some pain after surgery. My eyes were swollen and felt scratchy which is expected after surgery and normal, but ibuprofen and the drops they prescribed helped. Today is day my after surgery day and my eyes feel great. They seem to be getting clearer every hour. They also gave me a nice lay out of what I'm supposed to take every day and it's in "check off the box" form. I'll attach it here so you can see what it looks like. If your thinking about getting Lasik I highly recommend Richens Eye Center.
They ate all very nice here at Richens Eye Center, the only thing is your waiting time is around 1 hour after you Arrive for your appointment.
very efficient this time
I have been going to Richens Eye Center for a few years now and all the staff in Mesquite and St George are professional and friendly. I would highly recommend them for your eye care needs.
I’ve been cared for by Dr Jed Lister for the last couple years for treatment of dry eye. Recently, we completed a course of treatment with radio frequency treatment which was very helpful. The procedure is a simple office procedure that I found easy to tolerate. Although it is not currently covered by most insurance, I found the cost to be very reasonable.
Reception is friendly and helpful. Wait times are horrifying! My time is important too. I get there on time and wait at least an hour. Staff in back are awful! No introduction of who they are, what's going on etc. Dr never introduced himself and I had my eyes dilated then sent out the door in bright sunshine with no eye protection. Ouch! This place is full of unemotional robots.
I’ve gone to Richins Eye center for years. Yesterday I saw Dr. Alvarez for the first time. He was fantastic! I got in ten minutes after i checked in. The staff is always excellent and thorough. I highly recommend Richins Eye Center! (One thought that would be helpful for contact wearers and wearers of glasses. It would be great when after an eye exam where they need to update a prescription for glasses that they at least inquire if you want a contact update and fitting at the same time.)
Replaced my cataracts....Dr richens...above excellent...very detailed surgeon....makes your experience a winner....5 stars easily
