I've been going 2 Richens Eye Center 4 years. Dr May did my cataract surgery years ago. I really liked him. He's retired now so I'm using Dr Albernez now. We're still getting 2 know each other but i think he'll b a good doctor. I had laser on my left eye yesterday 2 lower the pressure. This was performed by Dr Richens. I didn't know what 2 expect but it all went well and wasn't 2 uncomfortable. My eye was a little sore and watery afterwards but is fine today. I get the other eye done n about 3 weeks. I've never been disappointed n this office and I'm glad i ended up here 4 my eyes. Eyes r very important and we all need 2 take care of them. I'm adding 2 my review. I've had laser on my right eye 4 high pressure and had 2 wait a few weeks 2 have my pressure checked 2c if this surgery helped. Well yesterday was the big day 2 find out and i was so excited 2 discover this surgery worked great. No eye drops 4 pressure r needed. If u r experiencing this type of problem, i highly recommend Dr Richens. Its a simple procedure done n the office. It takes between 10-30 minutes. Then u use eyedrops 4 the 1st 4 days only. If the surgery is successful, u won't need daily eyedrops 2 keep the pressure down so u won't develop glaucoma. I'll keep a check on my eye Pressure 2 make sure it stays n a good range. I'm very happy with my outcome and i highly recommend this doctor. She's terrific!

I was very satisfied with Dr. Wagner and his staff, they are very professional and thorough. I saw Dr. Wagner to confirm some issues with my eyes, he not only confirmed the previous diagnosis, but his determinations are more serious than the previous diagnosis . I believe his observations to be more objective/precise and more likely applicable to my current vision issues! I would especially recommend seeing Dr. Wagner if you have vision issues and you are not certain that your current diagnosis and treatment are personally appropriate for you! (A second opinion never hurts). I have also heard good compliments concerning standard optical testing and most importantly explanations in layman’s terms in response to your questions!

I cannot say enough good things about the main facility on W. 200 N in St. George! If having multiple tests done, do plan on a 2-3 hr appointment. That said, have confidence you are in excellent hands every step of the way! I've been to this facility multiple times and consistently felt welcomed, my opinion valued and respected and well-taken care of the whole time. This last visit, Trevor helped me get my medical record corrected and was very gracious. Addie, the technician was so patient, knowledgeable (despite her being fairly new) and simply phenomenal to work with - thank you! It was my first time working with Dr. Wagner (as Dr. May is now mostly retired) and I couldn't have been happier for the care he took and how he put me at ease, answering my questions and clearly having skilled insight of his own. His assistant/scribe, Bailey, was the sweetest and ensured I had everything well-documented and everything I needed before leaving. Even the checkout ladies were a hoot and so wonderful! Thank you all for a fabulous experience!

Friendly staff, clean and modern looking facility, doctor took time to explain the results. Have gone to both Sunset and St. George offices. Highly recommend Dr. Richens Eye Center!

The COA (Certified Optometrist Asst) Karen was a gem! She has a sense of humor, and is very patient and calming with all of the procedures she performs. She was sympathetic to my objection to using strong dilation drops, and found a lesser strength substitute that worked fine. I will always request her for future visits. I did not give 5 stars for Richens because the ophthalmologist dictated multiple coded findings to his transcriber but did not tell me what any of them meant. I left with only a reference to a "slight clouding under one lens", but no other details; a laser treatment was "suggested". I did not feel confident about scheduling anything that dramatic without more information. That particular doctor was not personable or helpful.
