Everyone was helpful and kind. I left feeling well informed.
My husband and I went in for cataract surgery. We did the preliminary exam. The doctor was joking around with us. He kept saying “ I know I’m being flippant but we are all friends here”. He was very flippant! He said he was retired. He looks young and so my husband asked him why he retired. And joking said. We’re your hands too shaky? We all laughed and everything was fine. We asked some questions about the lenses and we were told if we would just be quieter he would cover all that. We talked to the billing specialist. He explained the billing to us. We asked a few questions and he told us the money was due a week before surgery and a last amount in the day of surgery. Surgery was 3 weeks away. He walked us out and we got in our car to leave. They called us and said they needed to collect payment now. So we went in and went ahead and paid for it all. We got home and the next day we got a phone call from a Kelly Clayton who told us we were never to come back to that office. That we were not welcome there. He said we had been disrespectful to the doctor and all the staff. He told us how awful we were. He said “people like you would never be satisfied anyway”. It was awful. We literally did nothing wrong but ask questions and joked with a dr who was joking and “flippant” with us. I would never send anyone to this office. Dr May got his feeling hurt somehow and made us sound like aweful people! They think they are the best around and their arrogant attitude comes through loud and clear. And they are more expensive than most other places.
I had a very good experience as a first time patient. I was immediately helped at the reception desk and directed to the log in computer which was easy to use. As soon as I finished the receptionist had me sit in the waiting area. I was early and had to wait my turn. The next person was very efficient with all of the preliminary testing that needed to be done before seeing the doctor. She was friendly and thorough in her work. Doctor Gibb was also very nice and thorough in his exam.
Friendly staff. Thorough examine. Overall pleased with service received.
I was very well treated I highly recommend them I went to the one on sunset. Very thorough in the exam.
Always a delight to visit the Richens eye center....The entire staff is invested in making the appointment a pleasant experience and especially the totally professional services through years of study and training given to each and every patient... Thank you Dr. Richens for your service to us and our community..
I would have given six stars but I had some issues with scheduling due to shortage of doctors. The wait was long was long everybody there was very nice and helpful
They make me fill confident in the decisions of what directions are needed and those that may be able to wait. They do a great job.
Dr May and his staff were nice enough at first, and then when we were in the room he got very angry that we were asking questions and told us to stop talking. So we did, and when he was done we asked our questions. Later that day his receptionist called and cancelled our surgery that we had already travelled 5 hours there for saying that the doctor didn’t want to work on someone who asked so many questions. A good Dr invites questions. A scared, unprepared Dr drops patients when they ask questions about a serious procedure they are about to have. Do. Not. Recommend.
