RICHENS EYE CENTER IS MERGING WITH DR. KYLE D. ANDRUS

A longtime Mesquite fixture is returning solely to his St. George, UT practice after serving the community for almost 30 years. Local optometrist Kyle D. Andrus has merged his practice, in Mesquite as well as in St. George, with the team at Richens Eye Center. The changeover is currently underway, which began with the St. George location in January of this year. Their new physician, Ophthalmologist Brenda F. Jones, MD will begin seeing patients in Mesquite starting in May 1, 2018.

“I opened the practice in Mesquite to serve your eye care needs, and in our nearly 30 years together, I think you have taught me how to do that. I am grateful for the privilege to work with and amongst the good people.” said Andrus “I have made many good friends here, and have enjoyed a great time with you. I will miss it immensely.”

Dr. Andrus graduated from Illinois College of Optometry in 1983 and immediately joined the ranks of the United States Army as a Captain/Optometrist where he was awarded two service medals during his 4 year tenure. In 1987 he decided to put down roots in Santa Clara, Utah and worked alongside several prominent optometrists in the area before opening his own private practice, Snow Canyon Eye Center, in St. George, UT in 1989.

When asked why he was joining Richens Eye Center, Dr. Andrus stated “I have always tried to surround myself with great people. This is why I am joining the Richens Eye Center Team. I believe in what they are doing, I believe in where they are going, and it’s great to work with friends. It feels like coming home.”

Dr. Andrus will continue his optometry practice full-time in St. George at the newly transitioned Richens Eye Center, located at 1930 W. Sunset Blvd. Suite #106, St. George, UT 84770. The Mesquite office of Richens Eye Center will continue to serve the community with the same wonderful staff, office schedule and phone number. Appointments can be made by calling 702-346-2950. All patient records will remain at the Mesquite office to help provide a seamless transition between doctors.

Dr. Brenda Faye Jones is an Ophthalmology Specialist from Marietta, Ohio. She graduated from Brown University prior to entering medical school and graduating with honors from University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill School of Medicine in 1980. Dr. Jones has practiced throughout many states and has had the privilege of caring for the eyesight of thousands. Having more than 38 years of diverse experiences, especially in Ophthalmology, she brings the opportunity for an integrated eye care model. As the local ophthalmologist in Mesquite she will be able to diagnose, treat and care for a great deal more of the communities vision care needs. In addition, she will develop any required surgical and procedural care plans that will be supported by physicians and surgeons at the main office in St. George, UT.

Both Dr. Andrus and Richens Eye Center are extremely proud of the quality of their physicians, their staff, their work ethic and their service. This combination assures that all of their patients, as well as those cared for by Dr. Andrus, will continue to receive the type of attention and care they have come to rely on from the Richens Eye Center team at the new location at 330 N. Sandhill Blvd. Suite A, Mesquite, NV 89027, just around the corner from Smith’s.

This merger is the first union of Richens Eye Center joining a satellite office in Mesquite, Nevada indicating a commitment to professional excellence in all its forms for the community. Since Richens Eye Center’s founding in 2001, they have become one of southern Utah’s premier eye care center. They have benefited from a wonderful reputation by providing a state of the art facility and expert physician care.

Dr. Andrus is sure that the new doctor will continue to serve the residents of Mesquite with the same care he has shown over the years. He encourages everyone to give Dr. Jones a chance. “I believe that Richens Eye Center and Dr. Brenda F. Jones bring the philosophy, skill, technology and knowledge to continue to serve you and your family as I have done these past years,” Andrus said. “As I say goodbye to you I leave you in very good and capable hands. It would be a personal compliment to me if you would welcome and support them, as they look forward to getting to know each and every one of you.

Thank you for your support and loyalty in allowing me to be your optometrist these good many years. Thank you to all of you and may God bless you.”
