What are some procedures available at Richens Eye Center?
Dr. Sharon Richens is pleased to provide the following cosmetic facial surgeries:
- Eyebrow lift – also known as a forehead lift, the eyebrow lift can be used to pull the skin tighter on the upper third of the face to lift sagging eyebrows. This is often done if patients are concerned about increased sagging of the brows and the appearance of looking angry or having a scowl. This treatment can significantly improve one’s look and also make patients appear more youthful.
- Eyelid surgery – eyelid surgery, medically known as “blepharoplasty,” is a surgical procedure for the upper and/or lower eyelids. It is best used to address ptosis, such as sagging upper eyelids, which may lessen one’s field of vision. It can also reduce the appearance of bags underneath the eyes that make patients look tired and older.
What other cosmetic services are available?
In addition to these facial surgeries, our team also provides cosmetic injectables. These include Botox, Restylane, and Sculptra brand injections which are used to combat the signs of aging. Botox works by reducing muscle contractions, in turn smoothing away dynamic wrinkles and folds, while Restylane works by filling wrinkles and folds with a volumizing gel formulated with hyaluronic acid. Patients struggling with overall volume loss in the face may ask for Sculptra, which stimulates the body’s natural production of collagen and elastin.
